Greetings everyone
As you are all aware, myself and Jill have been working on bringing you an official IRC
channel.
Thanks to the approval of Jill, Historian and Acclaim, I am happy to announce that the channel is complete and ready for your use.The channel is hosted on the GameSurge Network and below you will find specific information, instructions and regulations pertaining to the 2Moons IRC channel.

What is IRC?

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. IRC is a massive network of text-based chat
channels (rooms) and users all across the world.

Internet Relay Chat is a live chat area of the Internet in which real-time conversations among two or more people take place via special software. Each specific IRC channel begins with a # and is dedicated to a different area of interest.
IRC is considered another part of the technology of the Internet the same way FTP, Telnet and the Web are.

How to join the 2Moons IRC channel?

1. go to http://www.gamesurge.net and register using the same name you are using on forums.

2. check your email for a message from GameSurge that will provide your password

3. Open your favorite IRC client(Xchat,IceChat,mIRC and others) and connect to irc.gamesurge.net

4. authenticate with GameSurge by using the following code:

/authserv AUTH <account> <password>

account is the name you registered with(see step 1) and password is what you received
in the email(see step 2)

5. join the channel #2MoonsCommunity

What if I am a VGM?

You should already be registered on GameSurge with your forum name(see step 1).
If for any reasons you haven?t followed the instructions(see step 1),connect to #support(that is the GameSurge support channel) and request to have your account name changed to your forum name.

The support staff at GameSurge is aware of the situation and is expecting you to connect with such a request

What are the rules and policies?

ALL FORUM RULES APPLY

The 2Moons channel is monitored nearly 24/7 by all moderators, admins and GMs

What if I have a question?what if I need help?

VGMs and Moderators will be available to respond to your questions on a regular basis.
If no one is available to help you, please post on forums or message a moderator on the forums

What if I want to report a breach of regulations or any other issue?

Please contact one of the moderators or GMs either on IRC, either on forums
If you are reporting an issue occuring within IRC, please provide the following information:

1.name of the offending party

2.time the offense occured

3.what is the offense

4.if you can, please provide the IRC log

How do I recognise Moderators,VGMs and GMs?

Moderators,VGMs and GMs will be wearing tags next to their names:

[Mod] is for moderators

[VGM] is for Virtual Game Masters

[GM] is for Game Masters

PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT MESSAGE ANY GMs UNDER ANY CONDITIONS. GMs ARE WORKING.
IF AN ISSUE NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT BY A GM, THE ISSUE WILL BE FORWARDED TO
HIM/HER BY A MODERATOR OR A VGM

[LoveBoAFE]
