Overview

RWBY (phát âm là "Ruby") là một web-series Mỹ phong cách anime được làm bởi hãng phim hoạt hình Rooster Teeth Productions. Bộ phim do Monty Oum làm và đạo diễn (Monty Oum cũng là tác giả của Dead Fantasy fan series nổi tiếng). Các tập phim được phát hành vào thứ năm hàng tuần trên trang web của Rooster Teeth và được tải lên YouTube một tuần sau đó. Tập đầu tiên của RWBY công chiếu vào 05/07/2013 tại RTX 2013 và được phát hành trên trang Rooster Teeth vào 18/07/2013.

Cốt truyện
Câu chuyện diễn ra trong một thế giới đầy quái vật và các lực lượng siêu nhiên. Bộ phim tập trung vào bốn cô gái sở hữu sức mạnh và vũ khí độc đáo của riêng mình. Họ sẽ trở thành một đội tại Học viện Beacon ở thành phố Vale, nơi họ luyện tập chiến đấu cùng với các đội khác. Trước khi xảy ra những sự kiện trong bộ phim, loài người đã từng có cuộc chiến sống còn chống lại những sinh vật bóng tối của Grimm cho đến khi họ phát hiện ra sức mạnh của Dust, sức mạnh giúp họ chống lại những con quái vật. Dust được sử dụng để tạo ra các phép thuật trong phim.
Các nhân Vật
Theo Oum, mỗi nhân vật trong phim có tên có thể gắn liền với một màu sắc. Sẽ có các đội khác nhau với tên đội là kết hợp các từ viết tắt của màu sắc. Dước đây là bốn nhân vật nữ chính trong phim, ngoài ra còn một số nhân vật khác sẽ xuất hiện theo từng tập.
Ruby Rose (lồng tiếng bởi Lindsay Tuggey): cô có mái tóc ngắn màu đỏ, vũ khí của cô là sự kết hợp giữa súng trường bắn tỉa với lưỡi hái được gọi là Crescent Rose. Chú của cô là một giảng viên ở Học viện Signal, ông đã dạy cô cách chiến đấu và cũng là một bậc thầy sử dụng lưỡi hái. Hình ảnh của cô khiến ta liên tưởng đến Cô Bé Quàng Khăn Đỏ và tên của cô cũng ám chỉ đến màu sắc của viên ngọc ruby.
Weiss Schnee (lồng tiếng bởi Kara Eberle): cô gái tóc trắng với vũ khí là thanh kiếm Myrtenaster, một thanh kiếm dài mỏng có nhiều loại phép thuật.
