NGames has announced that the Pockie Pirates closed beta will be setting sail tomorrow, Thursday June 21st, 2012, at 8:00pm (CDT).
Pockie Pirates is the first horizontal RPG webgame released by Game321. Set in the era of pirates, the game casts players as a young pirate who dreams of becoming the ultimate King of the Pirates and obtaining the greatest treasure of the sea.
Featuring an exciting blend of strategy and tactics with an entertaining gazme plot, Pockie Pirates packs cute characters and quality-designed backgrounds, combined with dazzling skills to present gamers a thrilling and epic adventure around the sea.
Publisher NGames has announced a plethora of special events to celebrate the closed beta launch.
Event one: Play and become the VIP (Very Important Pirate!)
During the closed beta, players can become a VIP3and receive 200 gold just for creating and customising their very own character. With a range of colourful character options and a choice of four professions (classes) on offer, players can become the pirate they've always wanted to be.
Event two: Stay online, win gold
Every pirate worth his weight in sea salt has a yearning for gold treasure. With the Pockie Pirates closed beta, players can simply click on an icon at the top of their screen to receive free gold every day.
Pirates can also earn money through fishing and exploring the oceans for treasures. Furthermore, Demon Fruits are littered throughout Pockie Pirates' massive maps - finding them will grant players special seafaring abilities.
Event three: Gold for bug submission
NGames are rewarding pirates with 2 items of gold for every bug they discover and report to the developers. Make the seas less rough and earn gold in the process – "yo-ho-ho, a pirates life for you".

Team Battles
The closed beta is kicking off with regular crew battles, which pirates can join every day at 19:00 (CDT).
Players can hire friends to be part of their ship's crew. As a role-playing game with highly customizable character options, ship captains need to pick their pirates and organize them carefully in order to succeed in combat.
Team battles bring crews and fleets together to battle each other until a winner is declared. Each team captain strikes first, with the other players then striking automatically. Upon victory, winning teams are rewarded with random luxury prizes.
