Sau EP "Der Weg" phát hành hôm 27 tháng 6 đạt được nhiều thành công. Ban nhạc tiếp tục cho phát hành album chính thức của mình với hy vọng tiếp tục gặt hái những thành công khác. Album đầu tiên mà tôi nghe của ban nhạc là album thứ 2 "Allegro Barbaro", đây chính là 1 trong 2 album hay nhất của ban nhạc. Và ngay lập tức ban nhạc đã thu hút tôi với chất nhạc Death/Folk Metal. Và giờ đây, "Licht" tiếp tục hấp dẫn tôi, lần này âm nhạc đậm chất Folk hơn và nó càng làm tôi phấn khích.

Ban nhạc Sentenced tuyên bố tan rã năm 2006 đã để lại bao tiếc nuối cho các fan cũng như các metalhead. Vocals của band là Ville Laihiala đã gia nhập ban nhạc Gothic khác của Phần Lan là Poisonblack cùng tay trống cũ của Sentenced là Tarmo Kanerva. Love and Other Disasters là tên album thứ 3 của ban nhạc melodic metalcore đến từ Thuỵ Điển Sonic Syndicate. Album được phát hành bởi Nuclear Blast hôm 19 tháng 9.

Sonic Syndicate thành lập năm 2002 với phong cách và âm nhạc chịu sự ảnh hưởng của 2 ban nhạc đàn anh In Flames và Soilwork. Thành lập năm 1996 tại Karhula, Phần Lan, nhưng Omnium Gatherum đã liên tục gặp những xáo trộn trong đội hình, đặc biệt là ở vị trí bass. Có lẽ chính vì điều này mà mãi đến 7 năm sau ban nhạc mới có album đầu tay "Spirits And August Light", album đã gây tiếng vang lớn trong cộng đồng metalhead và đã từng được đánh giá là album chuẩn của thể loại Melodic Death Metal. Nhưng chỉ 1 năm sau, ban nhạc đã gây thất vọng lớn đối với các metalhead khi vội vàng tung ra ngay album thứ 2 "Years In Waste". Có lẽ việc phải chờ đợi đến 7 năm mới có thể phát hành album đã khiến các thành viên ban nhạc quá nóng vội. Và mãi 3 năm sau đó ban nhạc mới cho phát hành album thứ 3 "Stuck Here On Snake's Way". Tuy nhiên, khoảng lặng 3 năm dường như không đủ để ban nhạc điều chỉnh âm nhạc của mình, và album này tiếp tục gây thất vọng. Và chỉ 1 năm sau, tức 2008 này ban nhạc đã quyết định cho phát hành album thứ 4 của mình "The Redshift". Lại 1 sự thất vọng nữa chăng? Lại thêm 1 lần nóng vội nữa? Câu trả lời lần này có lẽ là không, album đã gây ấn tượng mạnh cho tôi ngay lần đầu lắng nghe, và tín hiệu từ các metalhead trên thế giới cũng rất khả quan. Có thể đánh giá đây là album hay trong năm 2008 này, tuy vẫn chưa sánh bằng album đầu tay nhưng có thể nói nó vượt trội hoàn toàn so với những album đáng thất vọng trước đó.

Chất liệu trong album mới của Darkthrone được gọi là "punk-oriented" - đã từng được ban nhạc thể hiện qua album The Cult Is Alive (phát hành năm 2006). Album "Dark Thrones and Black Flags" phát hành chính thức bởi Peaceville Records hôm 20 tháng 10 vừa qua.

Darkthrone là một trong ban nhạc black metal có tiếng nói riêng ở Na Uy. Thành lập vào năm 1988 với dòng nhạc là death metal nhưng đến 1991 ban nhạc bắt đầu chuyển qua chơi black metal và khẳng định tên tuổi của mình với black metal thế giới. Có thể nói những fans của black metal đều không thể bỏ qua những album đậm đặc "màu đen" của Darkthrone như: A Blaze in the Northern Sky (1992), Under a Funeral Moon (1993), Transilvanian Hunger (1994)...

"A Blaze In The Northern Sky" - album đầu tiên của Darkthrone theo dòng black metal đã đưa dòng nhạc đen tối nhất này lên đến đỉnh điểm cuả sự tàn bạo. Một album hoàn toàn theo phong cách raw Black Metal nghiã là thu âm mà không cần mix lại cho âm thanh tốt, tiếng guitar thì rè rè... Album này thật sự đã mở ra 1 kỷ nguyên mới cho dòng nhạc Black Metal...

Tuy nhiên bước qua thế kỉ mới với những album sau này kể từ Hate Them (2003) thì dường như thời hoàng kim của Darkthrone đã thật sự qua đi. Sức sáng tác của ban nhạc có vẻ như đã kiệt quệ theo thời gian . Không còn tính dữ dằn bạo lực trong tiếng guitar ngày nào nữa thay vào đó là 1 cái gì đó nhẹ nhàng nhưng thâm thuý hơn.

Hiện tại thì âm nhạc của Darkthrone có thêm nhiều đặc điểm của crust punk.

Album vừa phát hành hôm 29 tháng 9 và mới đây là 28 tháng 10 tại thị trường Mỹ bởi Indie Recordings. Vertebrae vừa được nhận giải "Album của tháng" từ đề cử của Terrorizer Magazine - một tạp chí nhạc rock danh tiếng của Anh.

Album được bắt tay thu âm vào đầu 2008. Phần mix thực hiện bởi Joe Barresi ( từng thực hiện cho Tool, Queens Of The Stone Age) và mastered bởi George Marino (Sterling Sound).

Enslaved là ban nhạc progressive black metal/Viking metal Na Uy. Thành lập vào năm 1991 bởi Ivar Bjørnson(guitar, keyboard) và Grutle Kjellson (vocal/bass) khi tuổi đời còn rất trẻ (13 và 17). Ban đầu ban nhạc theo đuổi death metal nhưng do chịu ảnh hưởng nặng nề bởi trào lưu Black Metal đang cực thịnh lúc đó ở Na Uy nên Enslaved đã chuyển hướng đi của mình...

Nổi lên từ album debut rất thành công Extreme Behavior, tên tuổi của Hinder dường như không còn xa lạ với các rockfans. Ngày mai 4 - 11, Hinder chính thức phát hành album thứ 2 mang tên Take It to the Limit. Album phát hành bởi Universal Motown Records Group.

Thành lập vào năm 2001 với 3 thành viên: tay trống Cody Hanson, guitarist Joe Garvey và tay vocal Austin Winkler. Mãi đến năm 2003 ban nhạc mới tung ra EP "Far from Close". Kế đó bạn nhạc tiếp tục những sáng tạo chất liệu âm nhạc mới cho riêng mình. Những demo tung đã đã gây sự chú ý khá nhiều hãng đĩa danh tiếng như Atlantic, Roadrunner hay Universal Records... Sau đó Hinder đã chọn Universal Records để thực hiện và phát hành album debut của mình: Extreme Behavior (tháng 9/2005). Với những âm thanh, giai điệu mang hơi hướng của hard rock, post-grunge - Hinder đã tạo nên chỗ đứng của mình trong làng âm nhạc. Album Extreme Behavior thành công rực rỡ với khi đạt được Đĩa Bạch kim ở thị truờng Mỹ (3× Multi-Platinum) - tính đến thời điểm tháng 11/2007 album tiêu thụ được 2.640.579 bản. Một thành công rất đáng nể của 1 ban nhạc khi cho ra album debut. Chắc hẳn các rockfans vẫn còn ngất ngây với những hit của album này như: "Get Stoned", "Better Than Me", "Lips of an Angel"...

Hinder bắt tay vào thực hiện album thứ 2 của mình vào đầu năm 2008 tại FL Studio. Single đầu tiên mang tên "Use me" được giới thiệu vào hồi tháng 7/2008. Album thứ 2 của Hinder mang tên "Take It to the Limit" sẽ chính thức phát hành vào ngày 4/11. Album gồm 11 track nhạc.

Như vậy sau nhiều trục trặc thì cuối cùng album thứ 6 của Guns N' Roses cũng đã chính thức phát hành. Đây là album đầu tiên của ban nhạc ở thế kỷ 21 này, kể từ album toàn những tác phẩm cover "The Spaghetti Incident?" (1993) và là album đầu tiên với những chất liệu âm nhạc của chính Guns N' Roses sau Use Your Illusion I và II (1991).

Album được chính thức phát hành vào hôm 23 tháng 11. Sau đó 1 ngày được phát hành rộng rãi trên toàn thế giới. Tuy nhiên các fans ở Trung Quốc có thể sẽ không thể có trong tay album "xịn". Hãng thu âm Geffen Records cho biết "Không chắc chúng tôi sẽ được chấp thuận phát hành album tại Trung Quốc Đại lục". Bộ Văn hoá Trung Quốc có phát ngôn cuối cùng về vấn đề này, mặc dù nạn sao chép lậu tràn lan khiến công việc trở nên khó khăn. Có lẽ tiêu đề album khiến nhiều người nhướn mày. Rõ ràng nhằm tới vị lãnh đạo cộng sản của Trung Quốc, ca sĩ Axl Rose cho hay.
