I can see that Vietnam is known all over the world mostly for the American War. And there is nothing we hear, learn and praise about more than the war. I also notice that people, particulary youngsters like us, are beginning to tire of all of this. Am I wrong, what do you think of this. Do we have anything more worthwhile to say about than the war, and do you have any ideas about its impact nowadays. Or is it the past now.

Pls use "Vietnam war" instead of typing "American war", that is the war that the Vietnamese fight against the US Army to protect our country. In many years we had won and swept all the invaders away. Nowadays because of some crazy reasons they still doing that evil's action in many area in the world We, the Vietnamese always pray for a peaceful world, people can live with no war. And that's the duty of the youth in al over the world. Let's try!!

sorry, I was careless, Vietnam war. True, we are so proud of our heroic history. And we have also talked much about burying old hatred and building up new relationship with the whole world. But just look at this fact, we are not free to discuss sensitive matters concerning politics. I have a friend, a really kind one. Kind here means more than just good wills towards Vietnam. He has come to love our country and just want to know more about us. But when he tried to hold a poll among vet, it fell through.
I am not blaming anything or anybody. What I still wonder is what is the right way to help Americans show their sincerity in Vietnam.
the best way for American to show their sincerity is stay away from me
the way they dominate the world , the way thay destroy enviroment and the way their stupid $%#$%@# president talking , i can't stand it , nothing more to say now

er, you are talking like a...lunatic. I am sorry, but hey you can not say Americans as a whole. Have you known all of them?. Americans hate war as much as we and people all over the world, but they have a president and this president doesn't always stay cool. Mind you , you are humiliating a nation, a people,, which is unbearable.

I have got lot of chances to meet the American on line and in living too, I can see that most of them are so friendly, easy to make friend with and easy having a nice talk to them. I always feel comfortable when meeting them. They have lots of manner that we must learn from. but It's so dirty when we say about the US government and the way they treat the world now. I have met lot of people from many country in the world online and they were almost telling that the US government is so bad. Let's see what they've done in the whole world. Bomb, kill the innocent children, such as in Iraq, Beograde... It's for the advantage from oil and the others.
dam_is_life , i used to think like u do , but since i hear that more than half of the American agreed with their president bout waging war , i'm mad :))
and bout humiliating thing , dont u think i have a right to do it ? i have my right of speech , i hate USA and i say what i think about them
" this president doesn't always stay cool " => he always doesn't stay cool :))

One of the biggest problems is that the way the government affects the thoughts of the people. most Americans still oppose Communism, just as many Vietnamese oppose non-communism.
Kefka hates Bush (and as he told all Americans), agree, and as I can see many Americans hate Bush also. Not all, because they are under Bush's government's influence. Have you ever seen a Vietnamese who publicly opposes our government - or support US gov? I stop, cos if I talk more I may get gameover or something, this is a sensitive matter....
OK, go to the main point. Sure we proud of our history and our war, but, it is also a bitter past, dont u know that? Dont u know how much we had to pay for the 20 years in fire? If you have more knowledge, you should never discuss about the war, it is a past we can forget. Remember only one thing: we won the war. Thats all.
as for me ,if i were a Vn Leader i would always remind the war ,why ? 'coz it's my duty so don't blame them , they must do it .. we are educated,we 're dynamic ,we're yọung & full of fire ----> we 're bored but there're many people in our nation are innocent . they don't know the value of living in peace , they 're poor , they may be spoiled by many nasty organizations wich want to overturn our government .if they ain't educated they would be astray and willing rise their weapons agaist us ..
anyway .
!!_!! we proud of our history and our victory ,we must always remind .but we 've talked of them enough , praised them enough ..
i hate the way people repeat" we won ,we won ,we won after all " . War is criminal ,we all are losers ,US & Vn ..
the mature creatures killed the others ,was that fun ?
we 're beginning to tire of all this yeah but we must not forget this . it's our history ..now if we 're tired of it , don't talk of it anymore 'coz it's no use to talk
burry the past , future's ahead !! we 're young and none of us become polictician that's our biggest happiness :))

…Dear Chrono
…Quitely, I do not agree with your opnion…All of us, of course, everyone hates wars, since we understand how the war in the same way. But in all honesty, we must consider what’s that war for ?..Why don’t we have the right to say “We won” in the fighting for our happiness, national indepencdence and freedom, and our people…? There had lots of such wars in our history and you know surely what was that for ...you and me who young guys nowadays that be coming in for best things from ones …
…There’ve phony wars which were happening for simplified and even stupid reasons somewhere in the world. Personally, I’m bold enough to shout out “ I’m one of the happy guy”…Why ? The reason is that I’m proud of the Vietnamese that I belong: strong people…born and live in peaceful time…in such a quite peaceful country…: ones which most precious thing that people could ever have…I don’t allow oneself to moan about what I have…maybe I’m not a guy who stand out from a crow, success in my life, even I’ve never done great things for my family, my country…but the thing I can do is strive for leading a happy life, struggle for my life, try try and try my best…We won and always likewise…
