Maybe it's just an online group. Exactly, you cannot be better at English if you just learn what they teach in school. I bet that when you're outside with your school-English, you ain't know what they say. For instance, my uncle, when he were in Vietnam, he's really expert at English, but when he moved to the US, he couldn't understand what they were saying, it's not like he'd thought before, it's so simple, people almost don't care about their "grammar", they say as possibly as they can. Moreover, the slangs, they use lotsa slangs, if you don't know, you can misunderstand them easily.

HK is right! In my high school. I learedn English so much but I could not remember anything and I always got 2 or 3 in my test. I used to think that I was not good in English, however when I went to SaigonTech to learn English and Information Technology, my English is improved so much. I have my English skill now because in my school, none says Vietnamese, we Saigontech students must speak, talk in English everywhere in Quang Trung software park. When I finished my class and had some activities with my friends, we always used English, we do not like speak Vietnamese. Do you know how people look at us? What they just see and think is :"What the naughty children". Howevere, we don't care and still use English in everywhere, in shop, in supermaket, in bank,...
Ciga, just use English everytime, everywhere and you can improve your English skill better than now.

Improving your English is just like building up your knowledge. English itself, has many things to learn about and to study about. You can't just simply say I want to improve my English skills and "Boom!", you go do it. It takes time to learn, and then it takes time to practice. Practice makes perfect. English-born people speak English well because it's their mother tounge. ESL people who live in an English-speaking contry can improve their English rapidly because they use it everyday, except at home. Having said that, ESL people who live in a non-English-country has the disadvantage of using English everyday, and thus, making the process of learning and mastering it sluggish. For you guys, those who live in VN, but love to use English, I can say that the only unfortune is that you have less chance to practice speaking, other than that, your comprehensive skill is respectful, and I respect you guys.

Yep, just pratice, practice is all we needa improve our skills, not only about English.
Australian, and English are different, even in America you can totally be confused with their accents. For example:
-The word "house". An Australian will speak "Heuse" (heo-sơ), and an English will shoot out "house" (hao-sơ).
-In America, how do you feel when you hear a man from Texas say this "Hey, lit's git outta heah!" ?
